Kidspiration 2.1 is software designed for kids ages 4 to 10 to use as a whiteboard and express themselves in different knowledge and thinking areas like literacy,numeracy, concept and idea, in a visual way. We can download on-line and try this program for free for a 30-days period. There is a Quick Tour at the developer's site where we can see the program on work. From the Main Window we can select Picture View, Writing View,Number View, Open a File, and Activities like Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Maths and Science.It can be used both at home and in classroom to put in practice what the pupils have learnt. The child can also create his/her own project, alone or in groups, in maths, literacy, history,by using the tools provided. There are many templates for starting a given project about a historical period,words,numbers,biography,natural resources,images,creating a cartoon, etc., plus hundreds of icons on several topics, available for dragging,dropping,resizing,etc. We are allowed to introduce our name, customise the pages, print them, save to a folder, and so on. It contains a 159-pages PDF user's guide plus free support assistance, plus links and additional resources for teacher. It is valid both for Windows and Mac OPs.
